Brussels, 06. June 2023 | This June, Alliuris commemorated its 20th Anniversary. Brussels was chosen to celebrate the jubilee as it is the capital of the EU. Moreover, it is the legal seat of Alliuris. The Anniversary together with the General Meeting was held from 1st to 4th June, it was organised by Alliuris together with Key Legal and Fellows Advocaten from Belgium. Alliuris welcomed Members from all over Europe, China and the Americas as well as guests from Bulgaria and Chile.
The Members took the Anniversary as an occasion to appreciate what they have built and achieved in the last two decades.
In 2003, Alliuris was founded by ten European law firms, comprising 150 lawyers. Today, Alliuris has 21 member firms with offices in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America and in total 450 lawyers. Since its beginnings, Alliuris expanded ever more to Asia and especially the Americas. With the EU, China, India, the USA and Latin America, the major markets in the world are covered. The core of Alliuris always remained stable.
The Group is managed by Ulrich Herfurth in Hanover and Brussels as the President and Managing Director of the Group, José de Athayde in Lisbon as a Director and the Treasurer, and Giuseppe Cattani in Milan as the Director of the Alliuris Academy. In total the Board consist of eleven members from Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Herfurth underlined: “Alliuris is not intended to have as many members as possible, but focuses on a smart and economic structure – while serving its clients in the areas of corporate law, commercial law and technology, when it comes to matters across borders.”
Looking at what makes Alliuris unique, it is the carefully selected member firms and the strong professional and personal relationship. Through the strong network, Members can act for their clients worldwide, however, the client always stays with his person of trust. Interested law firms have to meet a certain profile and the individual lawyers have to fit into the Group as well. Members emphasize good personal relationships; they only want to recommend their clients to someone they can trust. With Alliuris, this is the case: 20 years of Alliuris means 20 years of trust.
