Prof. Christiane Trüe is a professor at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences. As of counsel for Herfurth & Partner, she covers the areas of public commercial law, European and national competition and antitrust law, public procurement law, environmental law, energy law and European law.
Prof. Trüe was admitted to the bar from 1996 to 2010. She has extensive experience from scientific work and from her employment in the government of Lower Saxony.
She was a research associate at the Institute for Commercial and Business Law at the University of Marburg (European Competition Law), a research associate at the Institute for International Law, International Business Law Department, at the University of Göttingen (European Administrative Law, Constitutional Law), German Law Lecturer (DAAD) at the Norwich Law School, University of East Anglia, Norwich (German Public and Private Law, European Law), Research assistant at the Institute of International Law, Department of Nuclear Law and International Environmental Law, University of Göttingen, (European Law and German, European and International Environmental and Energy Law) and research assistant at the German-Chinese Institute of Law, University of Göttingen (German and Chinese Law, specialising in Public Law, European Law and International Law, especially in Environmental and Energy Law). For the State of Lower Saxony, she worked for several years as a consultant in the Ministry of the Interior. Since 2016, she has taught public law, in particular general administrative law and constitutional law, as a professor at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences.
